Hello! My name is Kostas and I come from Athens, Greece.
I consider myself an extroverted and social person with a passion for teaching and mentoring. As a young scientist and an aspiring academic, I often use my acquired skills, experiences and multidisciplinary background as a tool for teaching. I have spent almost half of my life as a foreigner in different countries. From each and every one of them I have collected experiences and teaching methods which I use in my everyday life. As a foreign student myself since a very young age, I am able to relate to other foreign students when it comes to their experiences in a country far from their home.

I recently finished my MSc Thesis and received great appraisal for the quality my work, my writing style as well as my research skills. I was also recommended to apply for a PhD position based on the quality of my skills. I can mentor others when it comes to writing their thesis by both peer reviewing their paper as well as guiding them through the writing process.

Over Kostas

I specialize in mentoring and teaching people who face increased challenges in reading, writing and studying. I also work exceptionally well with foreign students who face challenges in their newfound home both in terms of communication as well as language barriers. In the past I have succesfullytutored a wide range of age groups including young kids as well as working adults mainly in English. I have also supervised BSc thesis projects and worked as a part time lecturer for a Geology class during my BSc internship.
My background involves a BSc in natural resource management and agricultural engineering and an ongoing MSc in Earth and Environment, specializing in soil biology. My multidisciplinary background on soils and agriculture bring to the table a diverse set of skills and knowledge that enable me to be flexible in my teaching methods. My listening and communicating skills are exceptional and I have a very strong background in working in international environments due to my time abroad from a very young age.
What I offer to you as a client is a friendly, flexible and relaxed learning environment where we can discuss your learning goals and find the best way to move forward depending on those goals. Together we will set the level of intensity, the working hours and the learning pace and decide on the teaching material that we will use. When it comes to supervising a thesis I will act as your mentor, offering high quality feedback, multiple peer reviews of your paper and guiding steps on how to move forward.
